Noodle is my best comfort food either comes in any form or any favor. That's the reason why I am very picky on making my noodle to reach the perfection. Beside the taste, the moist and crunchy feel is very important. Numbers of mothers been asking how to do this simple noodle dishes so welcoming by the visiting kids. One of my food they would say "YES" at all time.
Having Kids eat veggie is hard, I strong understand. By adding all sort of vegetable in the noodle together kids have no complaints. The kind of noodle you need to purchase is special for stir fry or they would say CHOW MEIN on the package.
Ingredients:
- 1 package of stir fry noodle (Chow Mein)
- 1 1/2 cup of shredded carrot, cabbage, chives, bean sprout and sweet onion.
(Black mushroom optional)
- minced garlic
- 3 table spoon of mushroom sauce
- 3 dark soy sauce
- 1 tea spoon salt
- 1/2 mushroom seasoning (optional)
- 3 tea spoon vegetable
- Hot spicy chili sauce (optional)
Instructions:
Turn stove to medium high heat. Heat up the Wok or Skillet with vegetable oil and 1/2 tea spoon of salt then add minced garlic and shredded sweet onion until fragrant come out. Then apply all shredded veggie and another 1/2 teaspoon of salt and stir fry for around 2 to 3 minutes. Then add the noodle stir together with the vegetable adding mushroom sauce, dark soy sauce and mushroom seasoning. turn the stove to medium and stir fry until the noodle is hot and serve with you own favorite chili sauce (optional).
Tips:
Follow the package instruction preparing the noodle. However please remember to rinse the noodle in the ice cold water and drain well before stir fry to stop the cooking process of the noodle to avoid noodle become too soft.
This is a good party platter as well since it doesn't really need to serve it really hot, enjoy!
